Hook: Models quote sources, and while your brand is absent from the portals they quote, more work on your own website changes nothing. Sourcing those portals by hand runs EUR 450 to EUR 1,350 a campaign.
What You'll Be Able To Do
- Set one budget, pick one article you already produced, and get a ranked shortlist of portals back from a single click
- Read domain rating, monthly traffic, country and price off every card, with no rented SEO seat and no round of rate-card emails
- Steer the catalogue yourself: filter by bundle, minimum domain rating, country or language, or search a domain
- Hand a finance approver a one-page media plan that needs no translation
- Place the order, and know exactly which half of the bill a subscription removes
Runtime: 5:20 | Difficulty: Advanced
Getting your brand quoted somewhere other than your own website means placements you pay for, and the trouble starts long before you pay. A spreadsheet of candidate portals. A rented SEO seat to check domain ratings and traffic. An inbox of rate-card requests half the editors never answer. Then a media plan you assemble by hand out of whichever replies came back.
What it costs today
Assumption: a PR or outreach specialist at EUR 90 an hour. The round covers editor outreach, domain-rating and traffic checks and price negotiation, and runs 5 to 15 hours per campaign.
| Line item | Assumption | Arithmetic | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sourcing and vetting portals, one campaign | 5 to 15 h at EUR 90 | 5 × 90 and 15 × 90 | EUR 450 to EUR 1,350 |
| The same work on retainer | link or PR agency | flat monthly fee | EUR 500 to EUR 2,000 per month |
| Marketer plan | EUR 196 per month |
Per campaign the sourcing labour is EUR 450 to EUR 1,350, against EUR 196 a month. Teams who stop doing it themselves hand the mailing to an agency at EUR 500 to EUR 2,000 a month. The media cost sits outside every figure here: the publisher invoices you for the slot, and that half of the bill does not move.
What the video shows
- Publishing in the left sidebar, then the Paid Boost tab. Three distribution routes sit across the top: Manual, AI Content Layer, Paid Boost.
- The first input is a budget slider, EUR 100 to EUR 10,000 in fifty-euro steps, with marks at EUR 250, EUR 500, EUR 1,000, EUR 2,500 and EUR 5,000.
- The second is a dropdown of the articles this project already produced, so the shortlist is matched to a real piece of writing.
- One button, "Get my shortlist". The catalogue is ranked and trimmed to your budget, and a paragraph explaining the picks lands above the grid.
- The portal cards: domain, country badge, domain rating, monthly traffic, audience size and price in euros, with "Regenerate shortlist" underneath when the mix is wrong.
- "Browse all" opens the whole catalogue. Filter to the AI Visibility bundle, push minimum domain rating up, pick a country and a language, or type a domain into the search box.
- The counter under the filters says how many portals survive inside your budget, and it moves as you drag.
- Add to cart on four portals, mixing shortlist and catalogue. The running total sits in the pill at the bottom right, and a second click takes a portal back out.
- The cart drawer: domain, country, domain rating and price per line, total at the bottom. That is already the media plan.
- The order modal: workspace name prefilled, the summary line by line, a notes field, "Confirm and place order", then a message that the editorial team will follow up.
- The plain-English guide under the catalogue, then a closing frame on one page holding the portals, the reasoning, the prices and the order.
What you need
- Marketer, EUR 196 a month. Paid Boost lives inside Publishing, behind that plan.
- At least one generated content asset on the project's active scan. Without one the picker is empty, whatever your content library holds.
- The project's country, website language and industry filled in. All three steer the ranking, and an unset country quietly asks for Estonian portals.
- Your budget decided first. Changing the budget, the asset or the audience clears the shortlist and you start again.
- The workspace name checked, because it prefills the order form and reaches the editorial desk as typed.
- Money approved, because confirming sends a real brief to a real editorial desk.
Questions people ask
How does the ranking decide? Domain rating, monthly traffic, how close the portal sits to your article's topic, and what fits your budget: the same four checks you run by hand, one candidate at a time. The shortlist is built inside EUR 10,000 whatever the slider reads, and the infinity tick lifts the cap for browsing only.
Does it know which portals AI already quotes? No, and any tool that claims otherwise owes you its evidence. The ranking reads portal data and your budget. No model output sits behind it, and no crawler log either.
Do I still pay for the media? Yes. The publisher invoices you for the slot and Rankfor.AI does not change that price. The subscription removes the hours you spent finding these portals and asking what they charge.
Why is a portal missing a country badge? Country comes from the site's own domain ending, so a dot-com carries none. Use the country filter when the badge is blank.
What happens when I confirm? The order goes to the editorial desk, the cart clears, and a message says the team will follow up. Read the summary first, because that button is final.
Method: filmed end to end on one project on the Marketer plan, one budget, one article, August 2026. Set a budget, pick the article you already wrote, and read the shortlist before you mail an editor.
